Freema Featured on Doctor Who Trading Card

Last month a new Doctor Who collectible card game (CCG) with a magazine companion, called Doctor Who: Battles In Time was launched by GE Fabbri, after being tested in select parts of the UK earlier in the year.

We were quite pleased to discover that Freema Agyeman appears on one of the trading cards!

Currently the set only deals with series one and two, so it’s for her character “Adeola Oshodi” and not as “Martha Jones”, but we hope to see more cards with her produced next year after the new series starts. This card is #242 out of 275.

Doctor Who: Battles in Time

It’s time to join the Doctor in the battle for the universe with Doctor Who: Battles in Time - the Ultimate
Trading Card and Magazine Collection!

The latest launch by GE Fabbri, one of the UK’s top partwork publishers, this fantastic new series features 275 cards to collect and play with, based on the best aliens, monsters and characters from the hit BBC series.

Each fornightly issue comes with both a pack of cards and a magazine, plus collectors can also buy packs of cards separately to boost their collection.

“Battles in Time is a special collection for all Doctor Who fans,” says GE project manager Jason Loborik. “The entire project has been in continuous development for some time and is something of a labour of love, as happily, everyone on the team is a big fan of the Doctor! The result is a trading card collection featuring some truly stunning designs from both the 2005 and 2006 series. We’re especially proud of the collector’s case which you get free to store all your cards - an authentically detailed model of the Doctor’s TARDIS standing over 10 inches tall - plus the special scratch ‘n’ sniff Slitheen card which has to be a personal favourite!”

The magazine and cards are available at £2.50 per issue from all good newsagents. Each pack contains 9 randomised cards, plus there are rare shiny, holographic, and lenticular cards to look out for. The magazine is a companion guide to the cards, featuring new gameplay rules, tips and tactics, monster fold-outs, and unique imagery showing the most terrifying Dalek Wars ever! Separate card packs are available at £1.50 each.
