Freema Agyeman set the record straight in her own words last night during an interview at the 2007 Glamour Awards, where she won “Newcomer of the Year”.
“I’m not axed.
I haven’t been sacked.”

Freema admitted the tabloid stories did bother her at first:
“For about five minutes as you do think oh no, but then you know you’re not going to have 100 per cent of people all the time. It’s just life.”
But then she also noted:
“What is important is that the fans are enjoying it and I just decided to focus on that and it didn’t bother me anymore.”
I listened to that on the radio not long ago! Fantastic news and to be honest we all knew the truth did’nt we and that the sun was talking a load of rubbish! Good on ya Freema!

Great news but what about the show being axed after series 4?
It still doesn’t confirm she’s in series 4 just that she hasn’t been sacked. I don’t know how BBC contracts work but if its like movies they contract you for multiple installments even if you ‘die’ in the one you are in eg deathstrike in X2
