The Daily Star published today that three alternate endings were filmed for the finale on Saturday to try to hide the real outcome. We’re not certain if any of these seem plausible but just in case, spoiler warnings!
1. Martha teams up with a resistance army and defeats The Master - only to be abducted by aliens
2. The time travellers beat The Master but he booby-traps the TARDIS and as they prepare to leave Earth there is a huge explosion inside - leaving fans wondering whether they survive
3. The Doctor is mortally wounded and has to regenerate again
But honestly, as kind as the Daily Star has been towards Freema so far, these just seem like vague speculation based on the events in The Sound of Drums and the trailer. Perhaps the concept of three alternatives is true in itself though.

Will any old foes return to battle the Doctor in the next series?
RTD: One or two. We like to spread the balance between new monsters and the classics from the past. So yes, there are one or two revamps being discussed right now. Keep your eyes peeled over the coming months, because a few of them will be marching through the streets of Cardiff, I expect.
There’s only old monster that marches and that would be Cybermen!
Of course the Judoon seem to march too, so you never know…

I doubt that Tennant would leave so soon… I seem to remember him indicating it would be 3 years + he stayed with the role… THAT SAID it wasnt that long ago that Eccleston Left. Respondents to this thread have argued they haven’t had time to replace him / recast (but Tennant himself was cast while they were still working on Season 1 - who is to say that the 11th Doctor isnt already cast and has his lips zipped? I’d love it to be someone dishy like Ioan Gruffud (sp?)… Also, Eccleston implied he was staying early on but hinted it wouldnt be long term… Tennant seems to hint that he won’t play the part indefinitly… For the sake of guessing… My money is that he and RTD will bow out at the end of the next season…. And Freema will leave EARLY next season (that… or there’ll be some kind of changover during the Xmas special)… To be honest, I don’t really think there’s much more character development in Martha, after she’s done the whole “train with the army, mercenary” thing…. And more importantly… Kylie Minogue is pretty much signed, sealed and delivered as a (large) feature of the Xmas Special…. but as what / whom?
well well well.. oh dear… Now, this Master fellow seems like a nasty piece of work. I can’t say ive particularly had any problems with him myself but he seems to be causing a spot of bother here.
If i could remember where I put my anti-levering psylonic-glaxonia device, then i’d re-materialise right there on the Valiant and put a stop to all this.

haha the second doctor’s back.. loved him and his recorder. I think it’s funny how he quit after 3 years to avoid typecasting and Eccleston quit after 1 year for the same reason. But I don’t think DT would be typecast because he’s been in so much stuff.
Anyway what was i gonna say? oh yeah- AussieWhoFan- what i mean is that they couldn’t have recast someone and said to them that there is a 1 in 3 chance that the Doctor will regenerate and you will be in the next series. lol imagine the actor’s suspense.. but yeah it is possible that they could have just the one ending and a new Doctor. Although i don’t think so.
