Torchwood S2 Filming Finishes - Transmit Date?

There is news out of Cardiff that principal photography for Torchwood series two has been finished. There still remains some “pickup shots” between John Barrowman (Captain Jack) and James Marsters, and there is a great deal of CG work for The Mill to accomplish, but it’s exciting to realise we are now closer than ever to seeing Freema Agyeman on the telly again soon.

Now we are left to guess an airdate for the new series, and that’s become easier to do based on the fact that John Barrowman’s autobiography will be published 24th January. He will likely do a publicity tour for that and the BBC might have a transmit date around those appearances. Perhaps 27th January if Torchwood remains on Sunday (after moving from BBC3 to BBC2).

YAY FREEMA! I’ve only ever watched a bit or Torchwood…but really, does it matter? Its freema back in action, and its oh soo good! I am very much looking forward to how they change martha jones for torchwood, cuz well…torchwood is…adult programming. Looking forward to her back in who as well, changed, we’ve heard she’ll be. With a bloke we’ve also heard, and…slightly challenging to the doctor…very exciting indeed. Bravo Freema! grin

Haha, I absolutely detest Torchwood.
But I absolutely LOVE Freema.

So unless in the second series they’ve finally understood that adult shows do not only mean Sex, sex, and more sex, I’ll be watching only the ones with Martha Jones in it.

I seriously hope they’ll make this season better. I really do, for Freema’s sake. Going from the brilliancy of Doctor Who to the….lets say, “not so wonderful” scripting of Torchwood, is a step down, in my eyes; but if it develops Martha’s character further in preparation for her return in Season 4 of Doctor Who, then, heck, who am I to argue?

Still. Martha Jones had better be treated with care. (That means NOWEN!)

Was not really a great fan of Torchwood first time around,
(although the episode with Olivia Hallinan was a ‘goodun’),
but now Martha/Freema will be appearing I’m really looking
forward to it.
