We’re sad that she won’t be part of this Appeal Night tonight but we fondly remember a year ago today, when we got our first live glimpse of Freema in costume as Martha Jones.

aww i remember that! haha i used to hate her then buh i absolutley loooove her now
Pity she couldn’t be in it as she is a great actress and would be brilliant in a special episode for Doctor Who on Children In Need!

WHY ROSE WAS IN THE CHILDREN AND NEE SPECIAL IN 2005 SO WHY CARNT FREEMA BE IN IT
Because Rose was a vital part, the 2005 CIN special was a prologue into The Christmas Invasion - as Time Crash was a side story, Freema purely wasn’t needed! Plus it would ruin Martha’s big ending in episode 13!
Yeah Freema was in it!
Technically it was just the previous ending and not new material - we don’t count that.
I loved the Children in Need special this year, was fantastic. And referring to some other people’s comments, it was vital that Rose be in the Children in Need special 2005 to show her reaction the the Doctor’s regeneration, but had there been a CIN special 2006 that would have ruined Freema’s first episode, don’t you think?
Martha has temporarily left the Doctor whereas Rose, in 2005, was still with him. The special scene took place immediately after Martha had left and a very long time, I imagine, before she comes back. It’s simple chronology.
In any case, Freema or no Freema, the most important thing is that people donate.
