Torchwood Series 2 on BBC America January 26

The BBC has yet to announce the January UK transmit date for Torchwood series two on BBC2, but it is now apparent that it may be quite early in the year since it will be shown in the USA starting on Friday 26th January at 9pm on BBC America.

This means we’ll see Freema sooner than ever in February as it is believed her three episode appearance will start with episode five or six, entitled “Reset”.

Joined by Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who’s Martha Jones) for three episodes and with guest stars Richard Briers (Monarch Of The Glen), Alan Dale (Ugly Betty, Neighbours) and James Marsters (Buffy The Vampire Slayer), Torchwood journey from contemporary Cardiff to the 51st century, and back to the First World War. On their travels, they battle fearsome new aliens; a rogue Time Agent; a tragic Time-Slip from the Great War; and a memory thief who uncovers long-forgotten secrets among the entire team.

The sooner Freema is back on our screens as the
incredible Martha Jones the better!!

TV has hardly been worth watching since her sad
exit from Dr Who -(

Thanks again to this great site for keeping all
her fans up to date with the latest news.

Thats weird shouldn’t we be told when it’s going to air here first cause it airs here first doesn’t it? Or does it air in america first? I know it had more success in America but I thought we got to see it first seeing as it’s British and a BBC programme.

Anyway great news either way, just can’t wait to see Freema back on the screen (and I can’t wait for the new who series, although Im dreading Donna- she was so annoying in the runaway bride). Her appearance on Torchword is going to do a hell of a lot for their rateings, thats for sure! And I LOVED Jack and Martha’s relationship on-screen, so it’s double the excitement. And then Jacks going to be back in Docor Who series four aswell so if he and Martha are back in the same eppisodes it’ll make my year! wink

I am so glad that I don’t have to wait 4 to 6 months or so after it is shown in the UK! grin They always make us wait forever to see the new Doctor Who shows here in the US.

The main reason for this start date is because of the Writer’s Strike. ??? ??? ???

We will get it before the US, don’t worry. Considering that the official Torchwood magazine is out early January, I’d say the most likely start date is a couple of weeks before the US date.

Woot, love we get Freema back in the States so soon. Here’s hoping she appears in season 3 of Torchwood too.
