Torchwood Series Two on BBC2 16th January

Freema Agyeman will return to UK screens in February as Torchwood series two starts Wednesday 16th January and it is believed her three episode appearance will start with episode five or six, entitled “Reset”.

This time there will be Torchwood for everyone as BBC2 will also air a “kid friendly” version cut down to remove any post-watershed worthy scenes.

The BBC will launch a revamped website for the 2nd series.

Torchwood? Cut down? for younger audiences? That’s just - that’s — actually quite a good idea i spose. I did think about how annoyed kids would be about not being able to see it when it first came on. I wonder if torchwood (for adults) will be slightly less sort of ’sex!, blood!, gore!, swearing!’ etc. now that they’re going to have it cut-down for younger audiences? for example, the episode in the first series about the sex-addicted alien; there really would’nt be anything left in that episode cos the whole thing revolved around that idea (and it was a bit of a stupid idea anyway - it was so adult it was childish). and what about the one in the village where everyone was killing and eating everyone else (or whatever they were doing)? now, that was a pretty pointless episode anyway (programme about a team of people who investigate aliens, not cannibals.) I think they probably wont have so much sex and gore in this series purely because they can’t cut out too much in the kids version. Anyway i actually think its the best idea about torchwood i’ve heard since i heard there was going to be a spin-off called ‘torchwood’. but i still did sorta like the 1st series even if it was a bit crazy and over the top. i think i trust the DocWho team to realise that maybe that was too much and to do a better job next time.

sorry i didn’t mean to make the words all italic, i just meant it to be on the word alien. There, that’s better!
