Freema Fans Ask: Will Martha Meet Rose?

As Freema Agyeman returns to Doctor Who filming next week until Christmas, there has been a great deal of coverage elsewhere over the past two days that a certain previous companion will somehow reappear in series four. Whilst it’s obvious that Rose has no idea about Martha, it’s rather interesting that (to the best of our knowledge) Freema has never even met Billie Piper: at the end of series two they filmed on difference schedules and had no shared scenes - both actresses have also mentioned in interviews since, to have never met. Update: Freema *Will* Be On Omid Djalili Show

Omid DjaliliWe’ve had several fans enquire if that is Freema in the BBC1 advert for a future Omid Djalili Show. Apparently they will do a Doctor Who sketch next month with Omid as a “Dalek”.
Sorry, we’ve confirmed Freema is not on the show.

Update: Confusion reigns as fan soffmills points out Freema is listed in Radio Times. So we’re double-checking to find out what’s really going on.

The final word: Freema will indeed appear on The Omid Djalili Show on Saturday 1st December. This was filmed awhile back so apologies for the incorrect information from our contacts who were not updated! (more…)

One Of These DVDs Is Not Like The Other…

As fans in both the UK and US have now had a chance to eagerly buy and watch the Doctor Who Series 3 box set, an interesting discovery has come to light - the content for each region is not identical! One subtle but important difference is the commentary on the final episode “Last of the Timelords”. Region 1 NTSC North American release Region 2 PAL UK release (more…)

Freema Might Work With… Alice Cooper??!

According to an article in today’s Daily Star, Russell T Davies has been in “desperate” talks with Alice Cooper to get him on Doctor Who. To play an alien? Monster? For a late episode in the series? In any case, you decide! (more…)

TARDIS Time Trio Reunited In Doctor Who S4?

Update: this is now confirmed in an interview here
Rumour has it that John Barrowman is set to reveal in upcoming interviews that he will be joining the Doctor Who team for filming after Christmas.

So our question is, will his character, Captain Jack, be around at the same time as Freema’s episodes with Martha Jones? Will the time trio be reunited again for the fans? What evil could cause them to all join up again? With Donna Noble around this time, it might be getting awfully crowded in that console room! (more…)

Filming Location Alert: Urk Valley, Pontypool

Unconfirmed but strong rumour that Doctor Who will be filming for the rest of this week at the Urk Valley Industrial Business Park just outside Pontypool.
No word if Freema is there or what episode this is for. Urk Valley is next to Mamhilad Park where they filmed The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit.
Update: Rumour has it that filming will be in Port Talbot after this Friday.

Freema To Sign Series 3 DVD Box Set Monday

300 lucky fans will be able to meet Freema Agyeman and David Tennant for an autograph signing at the HMV flagship store at 150 Oxford Street, London tomorrow (Monday) when the Doctor Who Complete Third Series DVD Boxset goes on sale.
Keep in mind that although the signing is scheduled for 1.30pm Monday, you MUST go to the shop when it opens at 9.00am Monday to get a wristband for the event (and plan on a long queue).

Note that Freema is unfortunately only allowed to sign the DVD boxset for this event. However as the BBC has asked her not to attend Doctor Who conventions this is a rare opportunity to meet her and get an autographed boxset in person. (But apparently there is no rule against photography since there are many photos of events at that HMV location - just be polite, don’t use flash and send us pics to post!)

Within the boxset extras there is yet another treat as Freema takes us on a tour of the Doctor Who studios, giving us a glimpse of “Voyage of the Damned”.

(for fans in the USA and Canada, you can buy the DVD box set on Tuesday)
