Freema Agyeman has been spotted filming for Charles Dickens’ “Little Dorrit” at Deal Castle in Kent this past week with Matthew Macfayden. Freema plays Tattycoram in the BBC1 produced costume drama adapted by Andrew Davies, which will be shown in autumn as 14 half-hour episodes.

The scenes shot at Deal Castle form a part of the story-line set in Marseille, southern France. Filming continues this week and throughout the summer at locations in and around London, Buckinghamshire, Kent and Herefordshire.

“Little Dorrit” follows the Dorrit family and an array of characters they meet on their way from rags to riches (and back again). It’s part murder mystery, part love story and will be quite a treat!

There is an unconfirmed report that Freema will be filming today for Doctor Who at Sophia Gardens, Bute Park, Cardiff. Updates as we have them…

Definitely filming in the area but specifics not yet determined.

Update: It was an indoor shoot nearby at City Hall but a few people spotted Freema! Supposedly more filming there again today however access is limited.

Updated! Filming for Doctor Who was spotted in Barry, Wales on Monday night, 12 March.

Freema Agyeman, in character as Martha Jones, was on the beach and in a rowing boat in the sea off Whitmore Bay. There were several large gas lit cauldrons on Friars point.

Freema was spotted with Tom Ellis (ex-Eastenders) who plays “Tom Milligan” in this new Doctor Who series. Freema’s outfit was entirely black, military commando SAS-style!

The Doctor Who crew seems to have snuck down to Cardiff Bay very early morning today so unfortunately the cast was missed by local fans who found out too late to get there.

Since the TARDIS was not spotted in the filming last week, this perhaps was filming for either the arrival or departure (or both) of Martha Jones and the Doctor.
